This is a five-day training and certification course for new homeownership educators and advisors who provide homebuyer education workshops in a group setting, including Home Stretch. During the training, participants will learn methods for instructing potential homebuyers on the process of purchasing a home, including shopping for a home, mortgage loans and financing, budgeting and improving credit, responsibilities of homeownership, and more. Participants will also practice presentation skills and learn how to deliver successful workshops based upon best practices for adult education and participatory training methods.

This course takes place over five days:
Course hours are 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. each day. A 45-minute lunch break will be provided each day, from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m., along with short breaks throughout the day.
Online Format
This will be a synchronous online learning course, with students participating virtually through Zoom and accessing course materials through SharePoint. Stable internet/Wi-Fi connection is required. Students must participate using their camera.
