This is a five-day training and certification course that provides new foreclosure advisors with the skills they need to effectively serve at-risk homeowners. The training is designed to teach:

• Technical skills including the foreclosure process, mortgage terms, loan servicing, loss mitigation, and more
• Counseling skills to provide timely, professional advice to homeowners in need
• Effective communication and customer service skills

The course combines lecture with case studies, small-group exercises, and other participatory methods. This will be a synchronous online learning course, with students participating virtually via Zoom.

Schedule

This course takes place over five days:

1. Tuesday, July 28th
2. Wednesday, July 29th
3. Thursday, July 30th
4. Tuesday, August 4th
5. Wednesday, August 5th

Course hours are 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. each day. A 45-minute lunch break will be provided each day, from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m., along with short breaks throughout the day.
